OUR STORIES
NORTHLAND TO THE NATIONS INTERNSHIP

This internship is a 1–2-year commitment for candidates interested in living in the Northland community of Columbus, Ohio. It is well-suited as a pre-field experience for individuals seeking to go overseas and engage in cross-cultural work for a time of training, personal development, and cross-cultural service.
The Northland community has the greatest concentration of immigrants and refugees in central Ohio coming from Africa, Central America, and Asia, with countries including, but certainly not limited to, Somalia, Nepal/Burma, Haiti, and Congo.
Interns will partner with Global Village Vineyard to focus on:
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
They will partner with indigenous leaders in the community to form a disciple-making movement among our young and emerging leaders.
OUTREACH
With the nations in arm’s reach, we will look for opportunities to get outside the church building to build relationships and serve our local community as an expression of God’s kingdom.
ENGAGEMENT WITH GLOBAL VILLAGE COMMUNITY/FAMILIES
We will engage to seek deeper discipleship opportunities in the context of a biblical community. We will do this by equipping them to correctly interpret and apply Scripture, pray effectively, experience a lifestyle of evangelism and discipleship, and mature in their character and relationships.

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR THOSE WHO…
Feel God calling them to “go” and want to discern future long-term work overseas.
Desire to experience other cultures and gain exposure to more of the world.
Desire to cultivate a kingdom-minded community.
Desire to practice the ways of Jesus as a disciple and become a disciple-maker.
Desire to live missionally through hands-on experience and relational services.
Are prepared to challenge themselves by engaging in a season of sacrifice and discipline.
